There’s a very common saying that a person should have at least 8 glasses of water a day. However, as time has evolved scientists have discovered that it basically depends from one person to the other. It also depends on the level of physical activity and routine. But generally a person should multiply his/her weight by 0.68. For instance if a person weighs 100 pounds, then he/she should drink at least 68% of water every day.

What is healthy infused water? 

Infused water is a fun way to mix two or more ingredients which tastes equally well as their benefits. There are simple steps to prepare infused healthy water; first you need to prepare your desired ingredients and add them in a pitcher. Refrigerate the pitcher for a few hours. Also, some people prefer to soak their ingredients overnight. Most people who are very health conscious prefer to soak their ingredients overnight to seek maximum benefit. 

The infused water can be used upto four days. This means for instance if you prepare infused water on the first day it can also be used till the fourth day. 

Here are few water infused drinks that will help you improve your lifestyle. 

  • Lemon water : It is a very popular drink in the summer. With great taste it also brings great health benefits. Drinking lemon water improves your digestive system and detoxifies. You can squeeze half a lemon into a full glass of water.
  • Cucumber mint water: It is another drink that helps you lead a healthy life. Cucumber and mint both help in boosting immunity and stabilizing blood pressure. Keep 7-8 pieces of cucumber soaked overnight into a glass of water, remove cucumber and add mint to the water and enjoy your day.
  • Watermelon basil drink: It is another popular drink that is taken by many celebrities in order to lead a healthy lifestyle. Watermelon and basil oth has anti inflammatory and antibacterial properties that help you fight disease and boost your immune system.

How to Quench Your Thirst When You Hate Plain Water

I am  going to share some tips on how you can change the flavor of water by simply infusing it. 

When making these infused waters, you will have to prepare them far in advance. Typically 12 hours or overnight will give you the most optimal flavor. Also, when you are about to drink your infused water - don’t add too much ice as it may take away some of the flavors.

LEMON AND LIME
  • Slice up one whole lemon and one whole lime. Add the slices to your water. Place the water in a big jug in the fridge for 12 hours so the water really absorbs the citrus flavor. 

  • By allowing the water to sit with the lemon and lime - you are really going to get the powerful lemon and lime infused water to taste. 
  • After you have let the water set then fill up your water bottle.
  •  You can leave the slices in if you want, but this is totally optional. 

BLACKBERRY AND MINT

  • Add a handful of blackberries and as much mint as you desire to your water. Place the water in a big jug in the fridge for 12 hours, so the fruit combination flavors are at its optimal level.
  • Let the water set in your fridge then fill up your smart water bottle or gym water jug. 
  • You will taste the refreshing mint flavor with the subtle flavor of the blackberries. It will remind you of a mojito for sure.

RASPBERRY AND LIME

  • Add a handful of raspberries and a slice up a whole lime to your water. Place the water in a big jug in the fridge for 12 hours, so the fruit combination flavours are at its optimal level.
  • Let the water set in your fridge then fill up your water bottle or gym water jug and enjoy your drink.

They can also get fluid from foods high in water, such as fruits and vegetables.
